Why sponsor an amateur football club?
Despite the vast sums of cash being splashed in top leagues around the world amateur football has very little money. All clubs are self-funded and rely on fundraising events and generous businesses and people in the local community to sponsor them.
Your sponsorship money will go towards buying football kits for the team to play in, equipment for training and match days and other vital resources the club needs to run.
As the club is not for profit all money raised through sponsorship and fundraising goes back into investing in the club to improve it for future years or donated to other local charities.
Sponsoring a club provides you with the following benefits:
- Brand Exposure – The team will be playing and training in kit that has your brand on it. This means that your brand will be getting exposure to people on match days, through pictures on social media and more. The club will also promote you on their social media and website too giving you access to new people you may not have reached before.
- Community benefits – Supporting your local team is investing in your community. Encouraging people in the community to get involved in sport and build links with other people is good for everyone.
- Additional custom for your facilities – If you’re a local pub, restaurant or cafe then the team would be happy to provide additional custom to your facilities. Eg attending after some matches, using your facilities for team days/nights out or for holding future fundraising events.
